In 1985 the church acquired the former Foodland grocery store building and became the contractor for a nutrition center program for the elderly which operated in and from this building.

Through the Nutrition Center and Meals on Wheels, 207 hot meals are served daily to elderly members of our area, which amounts to nearly 54,000 meals annually. The meals are prepared by Valley in Montgomery everyday and are provided by government funding.

Not only do these senior citizens aged 60 and older receive a well-balanced meal, they also have a whole lot of fun when they come to the Nutrition Center. Five days a week they meet from 9-12 noon to join friends in playing games, socializing and getting good exercise.
